Traditional heating is broken.
Mineral Deposits
Heating elements within boilers reach 300°C. Excessive heat causes limescale buildup, requiring constant descaling and maintenance.
Overheating
Lack of heat control means liquids don't heat evenly. No homogeneous flow causes burning and product waste.
Energy Waste
Up to 50% energy loss due to inefficient heat transfer. Low heating efficiency impacts both costs and the environment.
Direct Ohmic
Heating.
The ohmic heating principle generates heat by guiding electrical current directly through the liquid that flows between two electrodes placed along a pipe.
The liquid itself heats up instantly due to its electrical resistance. This eliminates heating elements and their associated problems entirely.

A story of determination.
Two 16-year-olds, Alexey Gromov and Fabian Dietschi, met at an apprenticeship for electronics-technicians at the ETH. Overnight, they developed the entire business case for a revolutionary heating technology.
The Big Hiatus: Focused entirely on regulatory issues of ohmic heating for liquids. Got directly involved with global authorities and set up new standards worldwide, based on their patent.
InstaHeat AG was incorporated in Zurich, Switzerland. The determined decision of two young engineers became a reality.
The HeatFlow Series debuts as an integrated device within a fully automatic commercial coffee machine, ready for production rollout.
